BIKE ROUTES AND LODGING

 

  • What are the 2024 Medavie Blue Cross MS Bike routes and elevations?

    • Full details can be found in the Courses section: 2024 MS Bike COURses 
    • Every cycling day includes
      • Meals (lunch and snacks) on the road
      • Refreshment and lunch stations to build your energy back up
      • Supervision on the course
      • Support vehicles, with people who can render first aid if needed
  • What does my 2024 Medavie Blue Cross MS Bike package include?

 
  • What is the registration deadline for the event?

 

  • What are the differences between the accommodation packages? If sharing a room, how are the people paired up?

    • o There are a few occupancy options, depending on the package you choose: 
      • Single occupancy: You will be assigned a room with only one bed. You will be the only occupant. 
      • Double occupancy: You will be assigned a room with one or two beds, depending on who you plan to share the room with. 
        • Room pairing: If you do not request to be paired with a specific person, our team will assign someone..

 

DONATIONS AND PARTNERSHIP

  • I would like to make a donation to the event. How do I do so?

    • It’s easy to make a donation to the 2024 Medavie Blue Cross MS Bike, to support a participant: 
      • Go to MS Bike’s secure website. In the search bar, enter the name of the person whose fundraiser you want to donate to: search 2024 ms bike participant
      • On the participant’s page, click on the “Encourage me!” button.
      • Enter the amount and frequency of your donation. Complete the transaction by entering your credit card information.
    • You can also make a donation to a team or make a general donation to the event.

 

  • What do I do with the cash or cheque donations I get?

    • You can mail the cheques to the MS Canada office located at the following address:
      • MS Canada – Quebec Division
        1188 Union Avenue, Suite 520
        Montréal, Quebec  H3B OE5
    • On the front of the envelope, be sure to write the location you selected when you registered for the MS Bike (e.g. Québec City MS Bike). Also, the cheque must be made out to “MS Canada – Quebec Division” and be sent with the completed donation form.
    • Online and cheque donations are encouraged to speed up the administrative process. If you receive cash donations, we advise you to bring the money to the MS Bike event and give it to the team there. They will pass it on to our finance team. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at velosp@spcanada.ca.

 

  • I would like to be a partner of the event. What do I need to do?

    • To learn more about sponsorship opportunities at the local or national level, contact us by dialling 514-225-9570 or emailing arthur.demonpezat@spcanada.ca.


 

FUNDRAISING REWARDS

 

  • How do I get my fundraising rewards?

    • You will be given your rewards the morning of the event, when you register. Depending on the amount you raised, you could receive a jersey, bike shorts, vest or cap in the colours of the 2024 Medavie Blue Cross MS Bike: 2024 MS BIKE FUNDRAISING REWARDS

    • You will have a chance to try on the clothes on-site and exchange them if needed.

 

EVENT SCHEDULE

  • - Will I receive a more detailed schedule of the event?

    • Yes! A few weeks before the event, the Medavie Blue Cross MS Bike team will send the Cyclist’s Guide to all participants.
    • It will contain the event schedule as well as helpful information.

 

  • Where can I store my bike during the event?

    • You can store your bike in your hotel room or in a secure room available during the event.

 

  • Is there a bike rental service?

    • Our partner, Complex EV, will be offering an electric bike rental service during the 2024 Medavie Blue Cross MS Bike. Click on the following link for details: bike rental service
  • Can I charge my bike’s battery during the event?

    • More information will be sent to you in the coming months.

 

  • What will the banquet involve on Saturday evening?

    • At the end of the cycling day, participants who have chosen the Getaway or Adventure package will meet in the hotel’s reception room to celebrate this memorable event.
    • The theme will be a masked ball. Everyone is invited to dress up in their finest attire and don their most beautiful masquerade mask to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the MS Bike.
    • The evening will start with a cocktail party, hosted by Tourisme Saint-Hyacinthe, with one free drink included.
    • Next, the participants will be served a three-course meal.
    • A short honorary award ceremony will be held during the meal.
    • To end the day on a high note, a dance party will give you a chance to celebrate your efforts!
