The MS Society will not require proof of vaccination to attend an MS Society event or program as a participant, supporter, volunteer, or program attendee.
Occasionally, the situation may arise where a venue hosting an MS Society event has different requirements. We will follow the venue’s public health protocols accordingly and communicate them to our community in advance of the event taking place.
We will continue to follow the recommendations from public health and government authorities on how to take the proper precautions for our community. This includes but is not limited to:
- Encouraging our community members to stay home if experiencing cold symptoms
- Practicing good hygiene and providing hand sanitizing stations where possible
- Encouraging social distancing when indoors
Even with the above precautions, there is still an element of risk involved with attending a large gathering. Individuals will need to assess the risk and make the decision to attend based on their own personal health situation. Mask use is encouraged, but not required. We also suggest our community consider practicing social distancing.
We are not requiring volunteers to show proof of vaccination before attending an MS Society event or program.
We will follow the guidelines set by local provincial health and government authorities, where required.
