Is there a minimum fundraising amount?

Registering for MS Bike, participants are committing to raise the minimum fundraising amount of $500. Staff are here to support you in reaching your goals. Please reach out to Addy Ross (addy.ross@mscanada.ca) or msbike@mssociety.ca and we will help you with fundraising ideas, resources and support.

What happens if I don’t hit the fundraising minimum?

Cyclists that don’t reach the fundraising minimum will not be able to pick up their package or participate in the bike. Please contact addy.ross@mscanada.ca for fundraising tips or volunteer opportunities.

I am on a team - can we just fundraise enough as a team to cover one another’s $500 minimum?

The $500 fundraising minimum is per participant - team donations and team members cannot cover the fundraising minimum for others. Donations must be kept under the person/team that the donor originally intended - they cannot be moved between participants.

Are there any training rides?

Yes! Our Rider Development Series runs every Saturday out of Devon, AB starting April 27, 2024.

Join Stew Hutchings, past president of the Devon Bicycle Association, as he leads a series of rides in the Devon area to help you prepare for MS Bike - Leduc to Camrose. Whether this is your first year participating or 35th, all riders and teams are welcome.

To receive more information about each ride please email: stewarth2@gmail.com.

I don’t have a team but would love to join one, are there any teams accepting lone riders?

Team United is proud to be our rookie team. Captained by our local bike shop sponsor, United Sport & Cycle, they are happy to accept first year riders or riders just looking for a great team to be a part of.

What kind of bike do I need?

Road bike is best, but you can participate with any bike! Yes, that includes electric bikes!

Do you have a recommended Bike Store?

United Sport & Cycle is back as our local bike shop sponsor. Visit them for bikes, tune-ups, accessories and more!

Are there any opportunities to connect before the event weekend?

Be sure to attend the United Sport & Cycle Shop Nights exclusive to our MS Bike participants. Nights TBA at a later date. Registered participants, keep an eye on your email for exclusive discounts, give aways and more information on how to sign-up for our shop nights.

Package Pick Up

Dates will be announced in the upcoming weeks! Remember to check back in!

Can I pick up my friend/teammates package?

As long as they have reached the $500 minimum fundraising, feel free to pick up for your friend, or your entire team! Make sure to get their sizing for the tech t-shirt and any other fundraising rewards they may have earned!

Is there a minimum age?

The minimum age to participate in MS Bike is 12 years old. Participants between 12 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Chariots and baby carriers are not permitted on the route.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not permitted on the route but are welcome to help you cheer on your favorite humans at the start and finish lines. Pets must be leashed at all times, well behaved, and all messes must be cleaned up immediately. Failure on any part to follow these guidelines will have this permission revoked for all.

What happens if I hit a fundraising reward?

If you qualify for a reward you can pick it up at the package pick up or morning of the bike tour. If you hit a reward level after the bike tour, connect with Addy Ross (addy.ross@mscanada.ca), to get your rewards!
